Our Team

Adrienne Varner, Office Manager


Adrienne joined Gerety & Associates, CPAs in January 2007.  She handles the day-to-day operations of the Firm, manages the administrative team and provides support to the management team and staff.  She enjoys working closely within the management and administrative teams to provide the best client service possible.  Adrienne began her career in administration in the health care industry in 1995.  Upon moving to the Las Vegas area in 2001 she began working at an accounting firm where she worked closely with tax professionals and also supported the firm's recruiting team, then followed Dan Gerety when he opened his own firm several years later.

Born and raised in Utah, Adrienne attended Utah Valley State College.  Adrienne has four children and appreciates the flexibility, respect and work/life balance that really sets Gerety & Associates, CPAs apart from other companies, making it the best place to work.  When asked what sets Gerety & Associates, CPAs apart from other companies Adrienne states, “I believe if you treat your employees and clients like family good things will follow, which is why I love my job and the people I work with.  It’s a rare thing to find such loyalty and respect that I see at Gerety & Associates, CPAs on a daily basis.” 

Marlene Sowby, Executive Assistant


Marlene began her professional career by serving in the US Navy. Originally from California, upon retiring 20 years later she moved to Las Vegas. She expanded her administrative and customer service experience working at local firms that ranged from the construction industry to automotive industry. While working for Gerety & Associates, CPAs she has received the Customer Service Excellence Award with the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce three times. She loves to travel and spend time with friends. She shares her life with her husband and three small dogs.

Jennifer Rosario, Executive Assistant


Jennifer comes with over twenty years of Executive Assistant experience. She spent the last ten years supporting the sales department in the gaming industry. She was born and raised in Southern California and has fond memories of her summers in Japan and Hawaii visiting family.

Jennifer moved to Las Vegas in 1995 where she attended UNLV and decided to make Las Vegas her permanent home. She enjoys spending time at the lake and off-roading with her husband, two daughters, family and friends.

Michelle Cox, Executive Assistant


Michelle Cox is an exceptional and welcome addition to Gerety & Associates, CPAs. She joined the firm in June 2012 and hit the ground running! Michelle began her career in 1997 with a savings and loan company where she worked as Branch Manager. She worked directly with clients to assist with mortgage loans and other financial needs. In 2006 she moved to the Las Vegas area where she worked as a personal banker with a national bank. As a mother, Michelle worked as a homemaker from 2008 until 2012, where she stayed busy raising her three children, hosting an international exchange student and volunteering for church and local schools.

Originally from Minnesota, Michelle moved to California where she attended Antelope Valley College. Her outside interests include family, traveling, camping and bowling. She volunteers with her church and in the community.

Carol Flint, Receptionist/Administrative Assistant


Carol joined the Gerety & Associates, CPAs team June of 2016 and is excited to be part of the office! She came from a sales background in the computer technology industry in Southern California. Carol has a great smile and a positive attitude! She is willing to pitch in and help anywhere needed. Her favorite part of her job is talking with clients and getting to know them. Carol’s personal motto is “no task is too big or too small”.

Carol and her family moved to Henderson, Nevada in 2012 from Irvine California. They love their neighborhood and living in the desert. Carol has three daughters, of which, the youngest recently served a mission in the Dominican Republic for their church and is going to university in Utah. Carol and her husband enjoy watching movies, Vegas shows and concerts, visiting family and traveling.
